The World Evangelical Alliance is privileged to work with Walden Media and Twentieth Century Fox on the new Narnia Film, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The original book written by the much beloved, CS Lewis, will now appear on film, December 10th, 2010.

From the very inception of this project the World Evangelical Alliance has enthusiastically supported its development. As with all CS Lewis' works this film adapted from Lewis' book provides an opportunity to think more deeply about the Christian faith in a winsome and contemporary format.

We believe that Walden Media has provided a wonderful gift to the worldwide church. The film is beautifully made and is suitable for all ages. The story of the Voyage of Dawn Treader is a wonderfully entertaining and artistically creative fantasy adventure. At the same time it provides great insights into questions that all people face.

Therefore we want to encourage you to go see the film and use it as a resource for your church or community. Here are some ways of how you can engage:

  1. Invite friends, family, and colleagues to see the film with you. We encourage you to go on the opening weekend as this will determine how long and where the film will continue to be shown.
  2. As a Church consider buying out an entire showing of the film and provide tickets to your members to give to their friends.
  3. If you are a school teacher, consider taking your class as a field trip.
  4. We have prepared resources for children, youth and adults in six languages that you can freely down load from www.narniafaith.com.
  5. Blog, tweet and face book about the film to get the word out. http://www.facebook.com/narnia
  6. Use your own creative ideas about how best to use the film.
