The World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), in collaboration with the Evangelical Assembly of Presbyterian Churches, announced on Tuesday that it has opened a new office inNew York, a key strategic location for the Alliance to expand its advocacy efforts for religious freedom and increase the impact of its work with the United Nations.
Geoff Tunnicliffe, International Director of the WEA expressed gratitude for the development.
“We are deeply grateful to the Evangelical Assembly of Presbyterian Churches, a WEA associate member, in partnering with us in providing office space inNew York ,” Tunnicliffe said.
During his visit toNew York last week, Tunnicliffe visited the offices of the EAPC headquarters, where WEA will share space with. The offices are located in the Trinity Building in the financial district of Manhattan within just a few miles from the UN headquarters.
“Through this partnership we will be able to expand our representation work at the United Nations,” Tunnicliffe added. “As a world class city,New York receives many international delegations and government representatives. Through our New York office, we will be able be more effective in our advocacy on behalf of the persecuted church, the poor and the marginalized in the world.”
