Evangelical Fellowship of Sierra Leone's Golden Jubilee and Change of Leadership

Important Announcement from the Evangelical Fellowship of Sierra Leone  

Another year has rolled by in the life of the Evangelical Fellowship of Sierra Leone with a successful holding of the Annual Convention, September 21-25, 2008 in the northern city of Makeni. Each convention over the years has been unique. The just concluded Annual Convention is no exception and it is exceptionally so. Firstly, it ushered us into the dawn of our Golden jubilee next year. What we want to do and how we want to mark the golden jubilee anniversary has been outlined as follows:

This year’s convention is also my last as General Secretary of EFSL. The Council endorsed the appointment of Rev. Jonathan Titus-Williams as the next General Secretary. Until his appointment as General Secretary designate, Rev. Williams served as the Director for Church Empowerment and Mobilisation, following the restructuring of the EFSL a year ago. Before then, he served as Coordinator for Evangelism and Church Ministries. Rev. Titus-Williams is an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God and has held various pastoral and administration positions, including lectureship, in the church and at the Evangel Bible College, since 1990.  He is a graduate of the West African Advanced School of Theology in Lome, Togo. He holds a B. Th. (Hons.) and M.A. in Missiology (Hons.) The Rev. Titus-Williams is married to Marian with two children. Rev. I will step down as General Secretary at the end of the year. Rev. Titus-Williams assumes office as General Secretary early next year.
